Master Schedule

'Master Schedule' in allGeo is a highly customizable template using which you can automate the system to do recurring tasks like Locating using Auto-track schedules, send reports to Users / Admin and also text messages on a scheduled basis.

Setting Up an Auto-track schedule using the Master Schedule

 This involves following steps:

  • Creating an auto-track schedule template

  • Setting up a tracking template

Creating an auto-track  Schedule template

  • Under the Main Menu (left-hand Side) click on 'Schedules' and Select 'Master Schedule'

  • Enter a name under the 'Create a master schedule' and click 'New' (as seen in screen1). (Note: No space or special characters allowed)

  • Your new template will be created and you should see this new template added to the list of templates.

Select the new auto-track template and click edit (as seen below).

Active

Specifies if this template is active or idle. Tip: When creating a new trip, select 'Yes' (default).

Device

Lets you select the devices that need to be tracked via this schedule. You can select a particular device or a group of devices or all devices.

Note: If you want multiple devices (but not all) then you will need to group these devices, and specify the group which will be listed on the drop down menu.  Learn more about groups

Recurring

Lets you specify if this schedule is recurring in nature.

Service Type

To set up  tracking schedule,  set the service type to be  'locate'. This will configure the allGeo system to locate the participating devices, as per this scheduled settings. 

Schedule Options

Schedule Options lets you configure your auto-tracking rules.

  • Auto Start: Check this box if you need the schedule to start automatically (recommended) 

  • Auto Optin: This box when checked automatically opts in phones (sends a text request) when if and when they are Opted Out.

  • Schedule Start Days: Select the days of the week when the trip needs to be active. 

In the above example (screen), the schedule is set up to be active on weekdays (Monday to Friday), scheduled to auto start, and is set up to automatically optin the participating devices that may be opted out. 

Note 1 You may set the Locate frequency at the device level or at the account level. At the account level, you may edit the frequency by accessing the Account option under the Admin tab - here under the locate setting and edit the frequency as seen in the screen below.  

Note 2 Make sure you have 'Auto Track' set to be 'Enable All' (as seen in the image below). If you need different frequencies for different devices. Please contact us at support@abaq.us

Schedule Active Duration

This lets you specify the start time and the end time for this Master Schedule. In the below example, this trip is set to start at 9 am and will be active for a duration of 08 Hours (until 5 PM).

Save Changes

Click change at the bottom of the page to save changes.
