How to create phone groups

Mobile employee phones(devices) can be assigned to a group to be used for multiple purposes:

A group of devices that share the same work schedule can be assigned to a single master schedule. This eliminates the need to manage an individual schedule for each worker.

Reports can be generated according to a grouping of devices assigned to a territory or regional manager. This filters the reports so that managers don’t have to look through drivers that do not report to them.

Grouping employee devices can enable privacy tools to only allow a user logged into the system to see the location information for devices they are permitted to.

To Create a group, and assign Devices, click the Admin Tab and Click on the "Group" link under Phone Admin.

This group will display a list of and existing groups. 

To Create a new Device(Phone) Group:

Enter a name in the Group ID: field under Create a New Group: (the name must not contain any spaces or special characters) then click New. The new device group will appear in the list of groups.

To Edit a Device(Phone) Group:
In the list of Device Groups, select the group to modify and click Edit.

A more descriptive group name can be added to the Device Group Name field, which will allow 'space' (character) and a longer name. 

Devices assigned to the group will appear in the window on the left under the 'Assigned Devices'. To remove an assigned device, select the check box next to the Device ID and click on the icon (>>) to Unassign it. The device id will move to the UnAssigned Devices list.

Any devices not previously assigned to this Device Group will appear in the list on the right side under 'UnAssigned Devices'. To assign a device to the group, click on the (<<) icon. The device id will move to the Assigned Devices list.

To save the changes click the Change button. The updated group list will display a current count of devices in the devices group.
