This article describes how you can organize your employees by creating groups.

You can assign employees to a desired group. This feature can be used for multiple purposes:

a. A group of devices that share the same work schedule can be assigned to a single master schedule. This eliminates the need to manage an individual schedule for each worker.

b. Reports can be generated according to a grouping of employees assigned to a territory or regional manager. This filters the reports so that managers don’t have to look through employees that do not report to them.

c. Grouping employees can enable privacy tools to only allow a user logged into the system to see the location information for devices they are permitted to.


To Create a group and assign Devices to it:

  1. Click on 'Company'.

  2. Click on 'Groups'.
    - This page will display a list of all the existing groups.

    To Create a new employee Group:

  3. Click on '+New' button.
    - Enter the desired Phone Group ID: The name must not contain any spaces or special characters.

  4. Click on 'Add'.
    - The new device group will now appear in the list of groups.

To assign employees to a Group:

From the list of Groups:

  1. Select the group to modify.

  2. Click on the Edit icon.
    - You can add a 'Phone Group Name' - This can be a longer name including space character. (' ')

    The employees assigned to the group will appear under the 'Assigned Phones' section. Similarly the employees not assigned to the group will appear under 'UnAssigned Phones' section.

  3. Select the employee you want to assign to the group.

  4. Click on '<' button.
    - The Phone ID will be moved to the Assigned Phones list.
    Note: Similarly, to remove an assigned device:
    a. Select the checkbox next to the Phone ID.

    b. Click on the icon (>).

    c. The device id will be moved to the UnAssigned Phones list.

Click on Save to finish.
