Map | Locating Employees and Job-sites on Map

This article explains how you can use the Map Dashboard to locate your employees and job-sites.

allGeo provides an interactive Maps Dashboard that allows you to track customer sites or job sites and field employees, not only by their current and last known locations but also by their device stage (Job Status).

Additionally, it supports breadcrumb tracking, providing a detailed trail of the employee's movement.


How to reach the page?

  • Login to your 'allGeo' account

  • Click on 'Monitor'

  • Under Map and Location card click on expand icon. This will open allGeo Map Visualization window for you.

These are the operations that are currently supported


A. Locating Employees and Jobsites:

There are three options for tracking:

  • Current Location

  • Last Known Location

  • Device Stage (Job Status)

Select the option that best suits your needs, and the map will display the information accordingly. You can choose the Customer site(s) and the Location accuracy to display the relevant information on the map.

Current Location:

  1. Select the employees from the drop down.

  2. Select the time zone(if required).

  3. Select from date/time and to date/time.

  4. Click on Current Location Radio Button.

  5. Click on Refresh.

The map will display the current location of the selected employees for the specified date.

Last Known Location:

  1. Select the employees from the drop down.

  2. Click on Last Location Radio Button

  3. Click on Refresh.

The map will display the last location of the selected employees.

Please note: last known location is not determined by date selection.

Device Stage (Job Status)

  1. Select the employees from the drop down.

  2. Select the time zone(if required).

  3. Select from date/time and to date/time.

  4. Click on Device Stage Radio Button and select on any stage provided on the Device Stage.

  5. Click on Refresh.

The map will display the location of the selected employees based on device stage for the specified date.


B. Get Breadcrumb:

The breadcrumb offers a detailed trail of the employee’s actions, movements, or activities within a defined date range.

  1. Select one employee from the Name & Phone# drop down.

  2. Select the Time zone(if required).

  3. Select from date/time and to date/time.

  4. Click Get Breadcrumb.

  5. The map refreshes to show the requested details.

You will be able to see the Breadcrumb (location history) of the selected employee in the map.


C. Auto Refresh Map:

Once enabled, the map will automatically refresh at regular intervals, with the frequency determined by the time setting specified. This ensures that the map stays up-to-date with the most current data, providing real-time updates without requiring manual refreshes.

  1. Enter the number of minutes/seconds.

  2. You can select either minutes or seconds from the drop down menu.

  3. Click on 'Auto Refresh Map'


D. Resetting the Map to default state

Clicking on Reset will restore the map to its default state, clearing any custom settings or filters you’ve applied. This action will reset the view, including the selected location accuracy, tracking options, date range, and zoom level. This is especially useful if you want to quickly return to the original view and clear all current configurations.
