This article will guide you through the Monitor Employee page, a new revamped page in the allGeo web app that helps managers effectively manage and track their field employees.
What can you do on this page?
See the real-time location and status of your employees.
Track employee mileage data to manage travel efficiently.
Send messages to your employees and receive real time notifications and alerts from the field for better communication.
Along with existing features like change job statuses, see device status data, suspend or activate employees
How to access the Monitor Employee page:
Login to your allGeo account.
Click on "Monitor"
Main View :
Want to change the layout of the cards?
Click on the change Page Layout button.
Drag and drop to change the order.
Click on Save.
You are all set. Your changes will reflect in the main view.
Index :
Employee and App Data :
This card will show you the number of active/inactive employees and the status of their devices.
Click the expanded view button to get more detailed information.
You can also pin this view in a new tab by clicking the pin icon at the top.
You can manage each employee and perform following functions
Add new employee to your account.
Suspend employees.
Delete any employee/employees.
Change their job-statuses
A. To create a new employee : Click on ‘Add new’ button from the main page view
(For adding Individual Employee)
Add employee name.
Add phone number along with country code.
Select time zone.
Select a group for employee.
Select checkbox ‘View Service Terms’.
Select checkbox 'Opt-in & send App download link'.
Click on ‘Add’ to successfully add a new employee.
(For adding Multiple Employee)
You can add multiple employee's by uploading a CSV file
You can browse to choose CSV file or drag and drop CSV file directly.
Click on 'Add' button to upload the file.
Note : You can download sample CSV file by clicking 'Click here to download employee details CSV file'
B. To suspend a device:
Click on 'Suspend' icon on the action panel for the employee that you want to suspend.
You will see a pop up - “Are you sure you want to suspend Device?"
Click on ‘Yes’ to suspend.
Click on ‘Cancel’ to cancel.
To bulk suspend :
1. Select the checkboxes of the records that you want to suspend.
2. Click on ‘Bulk Suspend’.
3. You will see a pop up “Are you sure you want to suspend the selected records?”.
4. Click on ‘Yes’ to suspend.
5. Click on ‘Cancel’ to go back to the main view.
C. To delete an employee and related details :
Click on the ‘Delete (bin)' on the action panel.
You will see a pop up - “Are you sure you want to delete?"
Click on ‘Yes’ to delete
Click on ‘No, take me back’ to cancel
To Bulk Delete employee's :
Select all the employee's that you want to delete
Click on 'Bulk Delete' to delete all the selected employee's
D. To change the job status:
Click on 'Change Job Status' icon on the action panel for the employee that you want to get the location for.
Change Job Status pop-up opens up.
Select the desired job status for the employee that you want to change to.
Click on 'Change' to save the same.
Map and Location :
Maps and Location gives you option to get on demand location as well breadcrumb location history for all employees.
Click on Get Location button to fetch latest location for an employee/device.
To get breadcrumb location data history. Click on Breadcrumb and enter the desired inputs like employee name, time zone and date range.
Click on Get Breadcrumb button.
You will see the breadcrumb location data history in a new tab in our Maps page.
Additionally, you can continue to use our current map functionality by clicking the expanded icon at the top right corner.
Miles Data :
Miles data shows comprehensive mileage data.
You can see average miles driven, total miles for all employees along with individual employee mileage data.
Click on the expanded view button to view the data in detailed way. You search based on employee name also.
You can pin the same window in the main view or open it new tab by clicking the pin view or expanded tab button respectively for convenient viewing experience.
Notifications and Alerts :
Notifications and Alerts is a new feature that we have introduced in our monitor page to help you monitor incoming notifications from the field employees.
Click on refresh button to get the latest notifications.
You can also send messages to your employees by clicking the Send Message button.
Note : This is same functionality that we have in our previous version. You can refer the other help article attached above.To send a Message to Employees :
Select the employee from the dropdown list.
Select the message channel : SMS or In-App.
From the Message Templates dropdown you can select from the existing list of templates in the account.
Click on 'Send' to send the message
You can expand this card by clicking the expanded view button and pin the same in the main view.
